Verizon, terrible International Service!

After having traveled to Mexico previously I thought nothing of Verizon wireless not being available. After flying into an airport I had no service to call a ride. I ended up walking for over 4 hours to the city center. Checking constantly to try to get a signal. When I finally got back over the border I had cell service so called verify to see why I was without phone service. Even for emergency. They told me their international service was down for 12-24 hours. Wouldn’t you think they would have sent out some type of message or anythingto let ppl know so they could make other arrangement .So disappointe.I’m 65 and it was 91 degrees today. So pretty livid about the lack of service right now
