My wife ordered pizza for us from Uber Eats (pick up). I went to grab the pizza and when I got home, it was the wrong order. I took it back and the store manager showed me how the order was right on the Uber Eats screen but inputted wrong by Uber Eats in their order system.
She told me that I had to call Uber to dispute because if the store called, they'd cancel the order and the store would lose money. [note: this is where I made a mistake. I should have told the store manager that that was between the store and Uber and that they should remake my pizza and send me on my way while they disputed with Uber. But I missed that step.]
I called my wife. My wife called Uber. Uber Eats customer service did not comprehend. At one point, customer service asked to speak directly to the store manager and they had words. It was a Sunday night and Uber Eats claimed that there was not a manager available. The store manager hung up and called back but couldn't get anything resolved with another customer service agent other than to tell us that my wife would get refunded (case number referenced). We were not given our correct order.
Monday comes and my wife contacts Uber with the case number. They deny the refund request. She inquires again and is again denied. She files a credit card dispute and is refunded.
Fast forward a week later and she calls an Uber for us to go to a brewery. She gets a notice that she has a past due charge and is RECharged for the disputed amount prior to her Uber being confirmed.
