Hi all 2 days ago I've had an incident with Uber eats service, where I was on my way home and decided to order a fast food from McDonalds via Android app. Right after clicking the checkout button I've noticed, that the delivery address is wrong - for some reason, the app decided to take my current location address instead of my home address. Not even a minute later after the order has been placed, I've clicked a cancel button - nothing happened, the button disappeared. Then I had to go through another set of menus to cancel the order but was met with a cancellation fee of the proce of the whole order. My attenpts to change the delivery address were in vain since it said that it is too far for the restaurant. My attempts to get a refund for this order via Uber help were unsuccessful - I've got different responses from 3 different 1st line support agents (one that said that I've tried to cancel an order too late, one that claimed that I won't be charged and the last one claiming that all the information has already been provided earlier - standard dialogue closeure procedure) and I'm currently trying to escalate the issue.
