I made a service request and things started out well. They sent out a local trusted contractor to my home to assess my equipment. Then American Home Shield wanted a second opinion so they called a contractor, MOHIN, to come out instead. Mohin is one of the most dishonest scam artists in the HVAC business in California if not nation wide. Their Yelp reviews are terrible. Not only that, Mohin is based 250 miles from my home and told me on the phone they accepted the contract but have no intention of actually coming out to service my equipment because "it's not worth the trip."
American Home Shield does not care and have been completely unhelpful in actually getting my furnace serviced. It has been nearly a month since I submitted the original service request and their second opinion has REFUSED to make an appointment with me.
After this experience I feel that all home warranties are scams but ESPECIALLY American Home Shield.
